Further changes to the cast of Les Miserables have been announced.
Mamma Mia!‘s Caroline Sheen and Katy Secombe will join the cast as Fantine and Madame Thenardier respectively, Wicked‘s Alexia Khadime will play Eponine, Hair‘s Liam Tamne will take the role of Enjolras and West End newcomers Craig Mather and Lisa-Anne Woods will play Marius and Cosette.
The new cast members will join the previously announced Alfie Boe and Matt Lucas on stage. Boe is to play Jean Valjean until November 26, 2011 (excluding Monday evenings and Wednesday matinees) and Lucas is to play Thenardier until September 10, 2011.
Les Miserables will close for three days after the June 18 evening performance to install a new sound system and make the necessary changes to accommodate the 25th anniversary celebration orchestrations. The show will reopen on June 23 with the new cast.
